Being part of Priceline sister club, I was lucky enough to have been selected to receive a complimentary sample and exclusive perk. They sent me a 3 mini-sample of Nude by Nature New Flawless Liquid Foundation in the colour W1 Ivory, W4 Soft Sand, W8 Classic Tan.
I have seen this foundation maybe a month ago when it was first released and it caught my eye. The thing is I have never been interested in Nude by Nature products. No hate for the brand but they are known for their mineral makeup which never wowed me. So, when I saw the foundations on the shelves it caught my eye and wanted to try it. But when I looked at the price…$39.95. What!? Insane, right? So, I decided to pass.
So, when Priceline sent me the samples, I thought great!! I was keen.
Claims:
- Instantly provides a smooth and flawless finish but looks and feels like second skin
- Oil free and fragrance free
- Medium coverage and long wearing
- It gives the skin an even, satin matte finish
- Formulated with natural ingredients and antioxidants that benefits the skin.
- Dermatologist tested and suitable for sensitive skin
Packaging:
Glass bottle with rose gold lid (which caught my attention). Has a pump dispenser. Contains 30 mls of foundation.
Shades:
There are 10 shades which I believe comes in neutral and warm shades.
Application:
I went for the darkest of the 3. The product is liquid type but not too runny. It has no smell. I applied my normal skin care routine and primer. I used my clarisonic device to apply the product with no difficulties. It went on smoothly and I would say that it gave me a medium coverage as I could still pinpoint my sun spots and genes spot (tiny spots that my grandma had and now I have. I just called them genes spots hehehe)
The finish on my skin was not satin matte, it gave my skin some dewy effect. It didn’t set on my face matte completely. It felt light on my skin but looking at the mirror, the foundation was detectable. Maybe the shade I had was slightly light, but that was the darkest shade that Nude by Nature offered out of the 10.
My face was oily after 3 hours and the foundation on my chin was visibly separated.
Natnat’s thoughts:
Although it looked great on the picture this is a pass for me. I am very picky with my foundation and this one did not impress me.
